Qumio ltd. – policies
Qumio Ltd. is doing technical consultancy work for many customers. These customers may or may not handle personal information or other sensitive information. None of this information is being transferred to Qumio Ltd maintained environments.
During these technical engagements Qumio Ltd and its employees may have access to systems where personal information or other sensitive information is maintained. Qumio Ltd or its employees are not acting as registry processors or in any similar roles. Accesses to these systems are audited. If they are not, Qumio Ltd or its employees may access the system only by interactive auditing by customer.
If in any engagement information is being exported from customer’s environment, we try to export data so that it does not contain personal information or other sensitive information. If such information is mandatory to be exported for the success of the engagement, then that information is always physically stored in Finland. For that type of information following policies apply:
- Information is stored only for the duration of the engagement
- Data is never analyzed in a level where any profilation would happen.
- Results of any analyze will be delivered to customer and deleted from Qumio’s environments.
- All deleted data remains in Backup chain for 60 days which cannot be changed.
- All data is encrypted at rest. All backups are encrypted at rest.
- Data is protected by firewalls, vlan/vnet separation, ipsec tunnels and similar technical implementations.
- Access to data is always granted by following minimal access rights-principals. Only persons requiring access will have access to the data. No impersonation is allowed. Access management is being done through Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Access to data is being audited. Audit logs are being kept for 360 days.
Qumio customer registry
Qumio has a customer registry for its customers. Qumio’s customers are only companies, government agencies, public administration entities and similar. Qumio does not have business relations with individual persons.
At this customer registry Qumio maintains invoicing address details and agreement details. For Qumio to be able to maintain entries for the value it provides it maintains time entry system. Details of each engagement and actual work done is inputted into this time entry system. This could include references to customer’s systems but never any personal information or confidential information. This information is being kept for the duration required by accounting laws in Finland.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
